going green!

attended the Canon Goes Green <www.canongoesgreen.com> tree planting project on the 19th of October and i definitely had a blast! plant site was at Padang Kota Damansara, it was something like my first time planting a tree (dont really remember the past) and it was fantastic! was there with me gf... and we were almost late. the time was from 7.30am till 1.30pm but planting only starts at 9am. just as we reached... they started to head out to the planting site. just in time i might add. altogether, i planted 5 plants... and the plant i planted is called the Meranti... and i think its one of those 'balak' trees. one helluva experience for me surely. there were many ppl there as well, loads of families, teenagers and also adults. we were entertained by Zainal Abidin, local singer who sang the infamous song "Hijau" after the planting session. VIPs too planted... at a corner, with ribbons tied on their shovels. not for us... i decided to use me hands... faster for sure. besides, there were limited mini cute shovels. well, at least i got my hands dirrty for a reason... MOTHER NATURE.

Jo had a great time as well, one of her plants is called "Momo"... i think. lol. i didnt name me plants though... just knowing i planted it is good enough for me. organizers said that we will be planting 2,500 plants that morning but i doubt all were planted. according to them, many volunteers didnt turn up for the planting and that i think made a gap of unplanted trees. well, you dont only need to plant trees, but most importantly is to dispose of garbage PROPERLY! recyclable items should be RECYCLED and come on, the money shouldnt be taken into consideration.. Global warming is hitting earth hard... so...

do your part...

and others will.
