farewell to shutterpoint

my account has finally ended... tomorrow actually. anyway, Shutterpoint <www.shutterpoint.com> has served me well. thanks to all those who rated my pictures... it was an eye-opening to the world of photography to me. not only that i know how ppl think and see my pictures, i get to learn that not what the owner likes is liked by others. it is true that a picture is worth a thousand words.

as a summary, i've got a total of 45 ratings and also 3,122 views in the past 6 months with a total of 50 pictures. well, from now on, i will be shifting over to Flickr <www.flickr.com> to publish me pictures. i also learnt that one should learn to crawl first before running... and yes, im going back to basics. so please do check out my flickr site <www.flickr.com/edmundlou> for more (much more) pictures. it is certainly open to the public and media for takings, just so to let me know and acknowledge me pictures.

TGI FRIDAY! yup, weekend is here and yeay.... no work! lets see whats on my schedule this weekend.... *flip *flip , OK, i've got nothing to do! right... how fun. oh... yea, i've got something to do... in the wee morning of saturday... i'll be dropping me gf of at the airport... LCCT. shes gonna me working in T'ganu for 10 days!! dammit! lonelyyyyyy..... ok ok. yea, i'm gonna be single for 10 days... oh wait, no... (shes gonna chop me into 101 pieces and cook bak kut teh if she reads this...) gonna miss u baby! happy working though!

so, the weekend is tmrw... what can i do?... i know some ppl are going to hunt for treasures in a car guided by anagrams of pure weirdness. ALL THE BEST office mate. you go "betty"!

will be meeting up with my mum and relatives this evening at my aunt's house. well, my uncle is ill... and recently just got discharge. it was kinda happening as many of us relatives and family celebrated his birthday in the hospital last saturday! there was a guitar-shaped cake (supposedly a violin but the baker has no idea how it looks like), my little nephew played the violin (a real one) just for the grandpa. my uncle used to be a musician and a very good violinist. therefore, my little nephew got the honor to play for him during his birthday. so cute!

oh, i've got something to do... i gotta get a magazine! yup, DC mag... not your comic but Digital Camera Magazine (DCM). i got my new hobby and it is photography. yes, the demund snaps loads of pics. bought my very own DSLR couple of months back and i am seriously enjoying it! though it was second hand... it looks freaking new! all thanks to PhotoMalaysia forum and also Antonio (the seller). have been posting loads of pictures for competitions and contests just for fun. well, you can view my pictures either in Shutterpoint, Flickr, Multiply or PhotoBucket. most of it are repetitions though... i would say the best pics are in Shutterpoint.... as i am trying to sell those pics too.

i'm not a PRO PHOTOG... therefore, the ambitious move of trying to sell my pics online wasnt very fruitful but gave me different looks in view of photography. i get comments from anonymous users and as usual, up and down comments. i think i will be posting up my top 10 pictures from Shutterpoint soon (according to ratings from the Shutterpoint community) ... as my account is expiring and i will not be renewing it. instead, i will be signing up for Flickr. so, yes, i decided to publish y pictures for free and hope that there are magazines or publishing companies who want it... can just take it but of course with my consent. a note that says "courtesy of eDmUNdLOu" as the watermark or caption would be greatly appreciated. hahaha! i actually have one... check it out here...

its a picture of Perth City (placed under Swan Bells Belltower) ... publish in Schmap... an online map for travellers. thanks Schmap again! this was my very first (and only) picture taken by publishers... a great step i hope. =O)
